This year the annual Bandits Tour is going to Turkey. We'll be based at the Sueno Golf Hotel.

2022 Bandits' Tour Report
Sixteen intrepid bandits eventually met up late on Sunday 6th November, after travelling in on different flights from LGW and Luton, at the Sueno Golf Hotel in Belek, Turkey.
Following a good breakfast the following morning we set out on the Sueno Dunes course in cloudy, overcast and damp conditions, which proved challenging with a number of balls going into the various water hazards. Our winner that day was the only golfer to break 30 points, Don Baynham.
The weather improved the following day with clear blue skies that held out for the rest of the week. The Pines course the following day, proved just as difficult with Peter Featherstone eventually winning out.
Over the next few days we had Paul Healy, Roger Prowting and Paul Newman winning the individual days.
Going into the last day it was neck and neck with Paul Newman and Malcolm Bailey vying for the overall Bandits winner's prize. Only two pints seperated them after a gruelling 5 rounds in 5 days. The last day is always played as a Medal round with the Medal score being deducted off the total stableford points of the previous 5 rounds. Malcomb tried his best, and managed to close the gap to one point, but the eventual winner after a tough battle was Paul Newman. Well done Paul, with the dubious honour of starting next years trip off the same cut HC that he finished on this year !
We had a few casualties during the week with various ailments, Terry with a chronic bronchitis bout, myself with a severe reaction to some antibiotics, Vipen with a bad back and Robert Maxwell with an injured wrist. Robert Maxell managed to spectacularly slip, chest high, into one of the lakes and had to be rescued by his buddies. Obviously on top of that there were the self imposed hangovers !!
Despite all that the camardry and support was there from all the group.
The hotel was fully inclusive and had an impressive buffet dinner each evening, we also partook of a couple of their specialist restaurants and had a Mexican themed and an Italian themed meal whilst there.
Overall a successful trip to Turkey, with it getting a big tick to go back at some stage in the future. Next year's trip is planned to be in Spain in the Valderrama area, with Vipen currently back out there looking for a good course /hotel combination. Timing is likely to be a week or two earlier depending on avoiding half term dates and getting in before the hotels shut up for the winter.
