Fifty fight at Woking!

Fifty members and guests did battle at Woking Golf Club for two Trophies and a host of prizes.

Once again we had a wonderful day – I am told that the Golf Manager will be indenting for a new prayer mat!! The course was a little "Scarred" by the recent very dry spell but the greens were very good and true (well for most people).

John Gorse will not be invited to any further events – on the 14th Hole, which has a green right in front of the clubhouse, John hit a good 5 iron to the green – a little too good as it bounced on the veranda of the clubhouse and parted the hair of the Golf Manager and bounced off the window frame of the Bar, however as no damage was done (other than to John's pride!) if the hand of the GM is crossed with silver all may be forgotten!

The food was very good and a good time was had by all. Saying a few words the president said he was sure all the players had enjoyed the day and said a special thanks to Heath Evans (soon to be a member!) for the very kind sponsorship of the prizes and for the gift of 3 golf balls to each player. Heath is the MD of Assured Group Ltd who undertake Nationwide Vehicle Preparation Management.
