At Blackwell MTGS retain the trophy-JUST!!

"The MTGS team met the North West at Blackwell unfortunately one man short after a mix up. Your President went out in the top match as a single and managed a win aided by generous opponents. This was followed by a win by Peter Featherstone and Stan Chicksand. The third match was a great battle with John Skeldon muttering darkly that in years of rivalry he had never seen Ray Evans hole so many putts. As you can guess we lost this match and the next two. John Gorse and Mike Bell played the anchor role again in great fashion with an excellent win to give a final result of 3 matches each which enabled the MTGS to retain the trophy. Blackwell was in magnificent condition and is one of the hidden gems of the Midlands. Many friendships were renewed and everyone left in good spirits ready for next years battle"
