St George's Hill Friday 4th April 2003
The MTGS golfing season started on Friday 4th April at St. George's Hill Golf club.
There cannot have been a more ideal start with very warm spring weather on one of the best golf courses in England. Fifty-two members played 9 holes of greensomes before the usual excellent lunch. The singles competition, off 7/8ths of handicap was very competitive. Both divisions were won with 38 points – Terry Nunn in division 1 and Godfrey Holmes in division 2.
Prize giving was preceded by the drive- in of President 2003, Tony Worthy. TW 06/03
