The annual dinner was the usual success, attended by over 400 members and guests.
The food and wine was a credit to the Savoy as was the service. The speeches were excellent and we were even treated to a song accompanied by a guitar - and we were all asked to join in with the chorus! This must have been a first!
Nick Kingsbury said he felt it had been an honour being this year's president and had very much enjoyed it. He commented that we had played 11 matches Won 6 Lost 4 and Halved 1, and in closing wished all members Health, Happiness and Prosperity for 2005.
The guest speaker, Don Mclean MBE entertained us with an amazing quick fire non stop series of jokes and stories that had us crying in our seats. Altogether a first rate evening.
