MTGS Guest Meeting at Woking Golf Club
Friday 29th July 2011
Our 4th meeting of the year was held at Woking Golf Club, often described as "The Hidden Jewel in Surrey" which was in superb condition with trickey undulating greens. So at 8.45 the siren sounded and 34 members and 14 guests set off in perfect golfing weather , which was reflected in the excellent scoring with Peter Featherstone and Tim Iredale coming in with 43 points,Tim winning on the countback. After an excellent lunch, the prizes, sponsored by The Assured Group,were handed out.
My thanks to Heath Evans and Les Brown of Assured Group for their generosity and of course to John Smith ,our golf manager, for all his hard work to ensure the smooth running of the event.
