Match Report: MTGS v BMW October 2nd 2019
Our match against BMW was rescheduled to Worplesdon today, and the weather was kind to us despite a chilly start, as opposed to the wet weather of yesterday. Everyone got there on time and we all tee'd off from 9.30. BMW bought a strong team with them and, despite a win from Paul Healy/Graham Ballaam and a half from Tony Head/Eamon Bradley, the MTGS went down 1½ to 4½.
The unique F1 trophy was presented to the BMW captain by match captain John Smith, after a good and very convivial meal. The course was in good condition and the greens were very receptive, although a little slow, and Worplesdon looked after us very well.
Kevin Davidson, BMW's dealer development director, advised that he was moving job to take over in Ireland but that he would continue to manage the MTGS relationship. Looking forward it was suggested that we might want to play a match against BMW in Ireland and that option was left open for further discussion in the future. Everyone then departed to miss the evening rush hour around 4.15.
