MTGS at Walton Heath 06
41 members turned out on a lovely Indian summer day to play the courses in the heather clad heath land at Walton Heath, all with the intention of winning one of the 27 cups and prizes on offer.
The notable incidences were, Mike Bell won the div 2 longest drive with a shot that many professional golfers would be proud of! John Skeldon playing in Div 1 managed to enter his name on the Nearest the pin card on the Div 2 hole! Stuart Billings scored a very creditable 40 points off 7/8th handicap off 10, and finally Chris Maynard won the Div 2 Nearest the pin some 35ft feet from the pin only just on the green!
All in all a good day was had by all.
