Meeting at London Club 14th June 2001

16 of our Members, 2 of the Parents and 20 guests enjoyed wonderful sunshine at the London Club today.

The morning Texas Scramble on the International Course was found to be very sociable and great fun and was won by Ed Spitzer, Brice Adamson and their guests Warren Fisher and Allen Leary. The winning score was 29 gross for the 9 holes net 26.3 (9.7 strokes under Par!!!). In 2nd place was David Henley and Robert Maxwell and Robert's guests Douglas Drummond and Alan Smith, with 27.35 net.

The Barbeque lunch was excellent as usual.

The afternoon round on the Heritage Course proved to be rather difficult and comment was made that the course "took no prisoners". For the members Div 1 was won by Brice Adamson with a excellent 39 points off 9 Hc. He won the Car Collection Trophy. John Skeldon was 2nd with 34 Points off 12 Hc. Div 2 was won on count back by Stan Chicksand with 30 points of 15 Hc, second was David Henley with 30 points of 26 Hc.

The Guest prizes for Div 1 were won by Mark Standish with 40 points off 18 Hc, Neil Curtis came 2nd with 37 points off 4 hc. Div 2 was won by Alec McHale with 30 points off 21 Hc. with Ted Orchard 2nd with 29 pointsoff 21 Hc. Melvin Dawkins won the Longest Drive and John Harrop won Nearest the Pin
