A small but determined group of golfers spent a week at Pinina doing their best to conquer a very wet and difficult course. The weather for the week was hot and sunny almost all the time, with not a drop of rain. A good time was had by all and at some time all played some good golf.

They were competing in the "Penina International Amateur Golf Tournament" against 48 golfers of various handicaps! Melvin Dawkins was the only person to win anything. Winning the Better Ball competition on the Friday and coming 2nd in the main Competition.

Other courses played by the group were Quinta do Largo, The Old at Vilamoura and Vila Sol.
