SENIOR'S OVERCOME THE SOCIETY AT HANKLEY COMMON
Despite the teams being reduced to 6–a–side it was a most enjoyable match at Hankley Common.
Perhaps because it was the first day after the bank holiday that affected the numbers but the lack of players did not spoil a most enjoyable at one of Surreys best golf courses. Despite the recent cold and dry weather the course was in very good condition, a complement to the green staff. This coupled with the high standard of clubhouse and catering meant that the 12 members that turned out had a very good morning followed by an excellent lunch.
The maturity, experience and probably the amount of practice of the Senior's resulted in the heavy defeat the President's team (4 ½ to 1 ½ ). However, the President was not too despondent as yet again the weather was more than kind to us. TW 22/04/03
