Bandits in Tenerife 07



!2 members and guests gathered at lunch time at Gatwick Airport on the 18th Nov for the flight to Tenerife – the weather at Gatwick was cold and wet! The following morning found them all in the sun at 23c on a golf course – what could be better in late November.

We had chosen an "all inclusive" hotel which was (perhaps) not the best choice – however the rooms were very good and the company superb.

We played Amarilla nice weather if a bit windy. Abama (we thought this to be one of the best courses in the world!), De Sur OK but the weather was nice! We played all these courses twice and on the last day played Adeje which is a great course (Las Americas was full all week)

The daily winners were Mon – Butch Ash, Tue - Vip Khanna, Wed – Mike Warnes, Thur – Don Baynham, Fri – Peter Featherstone, Sat – Bitch Ash, Sun - Peter Featherstone.

For the Bandits Trophy (5 stableford and 1 medal rounds) the order was 4th Ray Fisher, 3rd Mike Warnes, 2nd Peter Featherstone and the winner by 3 shots Butch Ash.

All agreed that the week had been great and all were looking forward to next year.

Ray Fisher will be booking the Hotel, Golf and Flights in Aug next year and will be looking for deposit cheques in July – Dates Sun 23rd Nov to Sun 30th Nov 2008 - first come first served with a max of 12 – Cost around £1400 total.
