Report on Guest Meeting at Woking.
On a glorious sunny day 44 members and guests played a wonderful golf course. Woking is a real gem of a course with all holes very different with challenging fabulous greens, although I for one found them difficult to read.
Our Golf Manager John Smith did a wonderful job (as usual) even managing to get a Shotgun Start with only 44 players. Oliver Harris also needs a big thank you for Sponsoring the prizes. We lost our usual Sponsor at the last minute and Duncton Finance stepped in at the last moment - Thank you Oliver.
At the half way (almost) point in my year as President I have not yet played in the wet.....long may it continue!
As you will see from the list of winners below there were some excellent scores returned - to stop any calls of "Bandit" I can report that the Guest Winner who scored 43 Points also played at the Berkshire and only scored in the twenties! I was told he played the best round of his life - well done to him.
I was delighted to present the 2nd div 1st prize to Stan Chicksand - Stan also won at the Berkshire in July after a number of years of struggling to play good golf!! Welcome back to the winner's list Stan, this could be your year!
