Members Meeting

Walton Heath 4th September 2012

Our final meeting of the season was held at Walton Heath with only 24 players entered on the draw sheet, which is one the lowest turn outs we have experienced in many years, this year the club arranged that we played in 4 balls which was a first for us as we usually play here in 2 balls.

It was a lovely sunny morning when we teed of from the 1^st after bacon rolls and coffee. The Old Course which was beautifully prepared with the heather in full bloom offering up it usual stiff challenge.

 The scoring was mixed with the heather and bunkers spoiling many cards.

After an excellent lunch in the famous dining room overlooking the putting green, the prizes sponsored by Motorclean were handed out with James Crickmay winning Division 1 and Sean Freidman winning Division 2.

My thanks to John Smith, our golf manager, for all his hard work over the season who ensures these meetings run smoothly and to the two Johns, John Etches and John Lindblom, for their assistance at this meeting. Thanks also to Ray Fisher for sorting out the aggregate winners for 2012 and of course to David Warren of Motorclean for their generous sponsorship.
